Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026 ·  Effective upon account creation

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. We will never sell your personal information to advertisers.

1. Overview

BookGlowi, LLC (“BookGlowi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the BookGlowi platform, accessible at bookglowi.com and through our mobile applications. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use our services.

This policy applies to all users of BookGlowi — Clients, Providers, and visitors. By using BookGlowi, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed — never stored in plain text). Providers also provide a service category, city/state/ZIP, license status, and contact preferences.

Profile content

Providers may upload photos, videos, and written content to their profiles and posts. This content is stored on our media infrastructure (currently AWS S3) and is publicly visible.

Booking & transaction data

We collect information about appointments you book or accept, including service type, date, price, and booking status. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we receive only transaction metadata (amount, status, timestamp). We never receive or store raw card numbers, CVVs, or bank account numbers.

Communications

Messages sent through the BookGlowi in-app messaging system are stored on our servers. These logs are retained for 12 months for dispute resolution and platform safety purposes.

Device & usage data

We automatically collect technical information when you use BookGlowi, including your IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and pages visited. This data helps us diagnose issues and improve the platform.

Location data

When you use location-based discovery features (Near Me search), we may request access to your device's GPS location. You can deny this permission; city/state search will still work without it. Precise location data is not stored indefinitely.

OAuth data

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those services as permitted by their respective privacy policies.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Facilitate bookings between Clients and Providers
  • Process payments and send payout notifications
  • Display provider profiles and posts in the social feed
  • Send booking confirmations, reminders, and notifications
  • Respond to support requests and resolve disputes
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and prohibited conduct
  • Analyze usage to improve the platform's features and performance
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your personal information to serve you targeted third-party advertising, and we do not sell your data to advertisers.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only as necessary to operate the platform:

Between Clients and Providers

When a booking is confirmed, basic information is shared between the Client and Provider to facilitate the appointment (name, contact preference, service details).

Service providers

  • Stripe — payment processing and Provider KYC (identity verification for payouts). Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Google / Apple — OAuth authentication, if you choose to sign in with those services.
  • AWS — media file storage (provider photos and videos). Files are stored in US-based data centers.
  • Firebase (Google) — push notifications for bookings and messages.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of BookGlowi, our users, or the public.

Business transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of BookGlowi's assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you before your data is subject to a materially different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, subject to the exceptions below.

We are required to retain certain data longer:

  • In-app message logs — retained for 12 months from the date of each message for dispute resolution purposes
  • Booking and transaction records — retained for 7 years to comply with financial recordkeeping requirements
  • Legal holds — if your account is involved in a dispute, fraud investigation, or legal proceeding, we may retain relevant data until the matter is resolved

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), password hashing, and access controls on our internal systems.

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account or personal information has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@bookglowi.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal information (subject to retention obligations above)
  • Opt-out of marketing — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send
  • Data portability (California residents) — request your data in a portable format under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
  • Non-discrimination (California) — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@bookglowi.com. We will respond within 30 days.
